Code of Conduct | Portcullis Public Affairs

Code of Conduct

A message from our Chairman

Since I established Portcullis over twenty years ago, we have always prided ourselves on our ethical approach to public affairs which remains as relevant today as it was back then.

Ethical behaviour is not merely a nicety to which we pay lip service: it defines us and is at the very core of what we do. We believe that a clear ethical code based on best practice is as vital for those we work with as it is for our team.

Alongside our expertise, effectiveness and enthusiasm, our ethical stance is central to our offer to you as a client; we promise to protect your values and your reputation.

What you can expect from us

  • Honesty - we will always give you honest and straightforward advice
  • Transparency - we will be open in our dealings with you and those whom we deal with on your behalf
  • Integrity - our personal integrity is important to us and as such, all of those working with you will be personally committed to your cause or issue
  • Principle - our guiding principle is that if something feels wrong it is wrong and we won't do it, even if it is legitimate. We will not trade on a promise of unfair access to officials or politicians

I am proud to recommend the Portcullis approach and our excellent team.

Yours faithfully,

Charles Cockburn
